A German hammer double with a narrow frame on this 16ga.Only markings on the gun are the barrels: KRUPP STAHL. and profuse German proofs on the underside of the barrel. Gun locks up tight and the 31 3/4" barrels have chokes of a tight FULL and MOD. Bores are very clean and shiny.Hammers work good, and there is no barrel play. this looks like an early steel barrel shotgun. Metal has a heavy brown patina, and the receiver was once nickle plated,with some remaining.Wood is finely hand checkered with a left hand cheek piece, and LOP is 14 1/2" with a checkered horn butt-plate.
