Description:
This bayonet is in very good condition showing "Crown over ER", 1907, EFD (Enfield Makers mark), and 7 '09 acceptance date on ricasso. Reverse shows bend test, three inspectors marks, and broad arrow. Pommel shows Regimental markings and facing broad arrows. Blade is bright with a few dark stains, guard and pommel are similar with darker patina. Grips are sound and worn with metal now proud. This comes in a second type scabbard with wear to leather and dark finish on metal parts. These bayonets are now quite rare, this one will add depth to any collection Ref Janzens P57 #2.
