Description:
Winchester model 1873 Rifle, third model chambered for .44 WCF (.44-40) cartridge. Equipped with a 26 inch octagon barrel. Excellent mechanical condition (however, you should not consider firing this weapon before it is examined by a competent gunsmith) with all original parts. Internal parts show very little wear. Excellent, bright bore. Rifle retains approximately 75% of the original blue, though stained from previously removed rust. There is a minor amount of mild pitting on both the barrel an frame. Both buttstock and forend are scratched and dinged, though not extensively. All screws are in very good, unabused shape. Serial number 472414B was manufactured in 1894. This firearm qualifies as a pre-1898 antique-no FFL is required for transfer.
