Description:
This iron Colt mold is marked "Colt's Patent" on sprue cutter (with apostrophe). The locating pin is on the left block (very rare). Both chambers have been opened, the roundball to 40 cal and the conical to 45 cal. This mold is in good condition, missing sprue cutter screw and shows a brown patina with many dings and scratches from period of use. A good example of a Colt mold with the left side pin.
