Description:
This is a standard U.S. version of the British Brodie helmet that has a flocked, dark olive drab paint finish and a large black painted U.S. Coastal Artillery emblem. About 85-90% of the paint remains with some flaking along the brim and on the crown revealing the underlying brown base metal. The leather, felt, and tarred leather suspensionare intact with some minor crazing and drying cracks but is otherwise in very good plus condition. These Coastal Artillery helmets are not often found and this example is in very good-fine shape and would make a great addition to any collection.
