It is a VERY RARE special order Browning Superposed Pigeon Grade small gauge 3-barrel Lightning Skeet/Field set with special order wood, 3" Magnum chambers in the 20 Gauge and 410 Gauge barrel serts for hunting,  with factory letter, and in its immaculate original Browning 3-barrel factory hardcase. It has a 13.75 LOP for a person of smaller stature, or for hunting over heavy clothing. This rare collectible Special Order Pigeon Grade 3-barrel set small gauge Lightning Skeet/Field Superposed shotgun IS IN GORGEOUS 99% CONDITION, as is the gorgeous original Browning Hartman small gauge 3-barrel hardcase.. This gorgeous Pigeon Grade 3-barrel small gauge, special order Browning Superposed is cased in its original factory issue Browning three barrel set vintage hard case with the original instruction book, original case tag and original key in the original plastic envelope, an original 1979 Browning pocket catalog and it comes with an authenticating Browning factory research letter. The factory letter says it was special ordered by Kerr's Sporting Goods, Hollywood , California, with the New Style Skeet wood, with each barrel set having its own New Style Skeet forearm. The factory letter further indicates that all three barrels were ordered as 28 inch vent rib barrel sets. All three barrel sets have Skeet/Skeet markings on the shiny silver part of the receiver end of the assemblies, and are correctly marked Set 1, Set 2 and Set 3 with the correct matching serial numbers, identical to the serial number on the receiver. The 20 gauge and 410 gauge have 3" chambers, which is a SPECIAL ORDER FEATURE, as Skeet 3-barrel sets, do not come with 3" chambers. The entire set is in outstanding cosmetic and mechanical condition. All three barrel sets are tight in the receiver with the release lever to the right, as it should be on a new gun. While the 20 gauge set is tight, the 28 gauge and the 410 sets are extra tight, indicating very little use at all, of the 20, and hardly any use at all of the 28 and 410 barrel sets. This gorgeous gun was a special order gun for one of the Hollywood area stars and ordered through the famous Kerr Sporting Goods, of Hollywood California. The factory letter further states that it is special order for Kerr's and each of the separate barrel sets has a Browning factory stamped "KERR'S" on it, as well as the other normal factory stampings of that time period. Special order multi-barrel sets are very rare, and when ordered as a hunting gun with individually dedicated forearms, rather than as a skeet gun with one removable forearm for all three sets, very rare. Special order hunting small gauge multi-sets with their own individual forearms are among the rarest of all Browning guns. Now factor in that it is a higher grade (Pigeon Grade) multi-barrel, small gauge Hunting Gun, then obviously this is a very very rare gun, and very desirable in any condition, let alone the outstanding condition of this gun and each barrel set. This gun is showing very little use. In fact, both the 28 gauge set and the 410 set show hardly any use at all. It appears that the original owner only used the 20 gauge set to hunt, or shoot Skeet occasionally. The original factory hard case is in the same near mint  condition and comes with the original case instruction sheet and original case envelope with key. This is an absolutely gorgeous gun. It is a joy to handle and point. The wood is gorgeous California Claro Walnut. The 28 inch 20 gauge barrels are marked for 2 3/4" and 3" 20 gauge shells. It will shoot all shells in those sizes including 20 gauge 3" magnum shells. The 28 inch 28 gauge barrels are marked for 2 3/4" shells and the 28 inch 410 gauge barrels are marked for 3" shells (had this gun been special ordered for skeet, all the barrels would most likely have been 26 1/2 inches in length, and the 20 gauge set and the 410 set would not have been marked for 3" magnum shells). All three sets are consistent with a special ordered Pigeon Grade Hunting Gun. ( A skeet gun would have had each barrel set chambered for only the shorter shells in each gauge, and with only one detachable forearem to use for all three barrel sets.) PLEASE NOTE THAT WHILE THIS IS A HUNTING GUN, MODERN STEEL SHOT SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN A BELGIUM BROWNING SUPERPOSED. DO NOT USE STEEL SHOT IN THIS GUN!    If you have been looking for a Belgium Browning Superposed Pigeon Grade small gauge 3-barrel set, for Hunting and/or Skeet, then you need look no further. you will not find a better price than is on this set. I would never consider selling it, but at age 79 have decided to do so. Since this is a collectible and usable operating firearm. I will need a valid copy of a current FFL to whom to ship the firearm. It will be shipped to your receiving dealer via Fed Ex or UPS.
