Prewar Merkel 12 gauge 32" Pigeon gun. This gun is equipped with a single selective trigger, ejectors, receiver side clips, a ventilated rib, a beavertail forend and ivory beads. The receiver is adorned with six gold inlays; two pheasants on the right side, two ducks on the left side and two woodcocks on the bottom. The Boehler Antinit barrels are lavishly engraved as well with two pheasants on the right side and two ducks on the left side. The bores are smooth and shiny with 2-3/4" chambers. The bottom rib has two exceptions in it of about 1-1/2" long that allow additional air movement for cooling during heavy shooting.
