Sauer & Sohn, Suhl: A Sauer Boxlock Ejector 20 Bore Game Gun, It has 29" Krupp Steel Ejector Shoe Lump barrels with a rib extension cross bolt that were installed and proved in Germany in 1924, The barrels at .626 .006 & .011" (Imp.Cyl. & Open.Mod), 2 1/2" chambers, Wall thickness on the right & left barrel at .036", Side clip action body, Scalloped frame, Intercepting safety sears, 2 each locking screws on key screws, Double triggers, Splinter forend with a Deeley & Edge type release, Pistol grip stock at 15 1/16 x 1 9/16 x 3 1/16" over a 5/8" pad with a 1 7/16" wood extension, It has 12 15/16" original wood so add a 1" pad to that and it will come out at 14" dead-up, Neutral stock for either hand, Horn tip on the forend, Engraved steel grip cap, Horn trigger guard, Sling eyes removed, 6 lbs. 1 oz., 40% period Sauer engraving coverage, The 1924 barrels have original blue at 88%, Traces of case colors remain, The properly re-oiled stock at 96%, The checkering is at 90%. The bores are bright & shiny and totally free of any blemishes or pits. 98% of the screws remain north & south including inside the forend. It remains in very good to excellent mechanical condition. Here is Sauer Quality from the great Suhl, Germany era with all the touch, style, grace and workmanship of that great period. The 1924 barrels are engraved "M. Kelber & Zwielich - Danzig".
