Description:
A very scarce military ammunition which is a 10 round broad arrow over "DA" of Dominion arsenal. Dated "29-4-10" with "Mark VI" designation and "Cordite" callout. This packet is rubber stamped "Ross Proof" on top, one end and bottom. Bottom and other end are stamped "D.A.Q.". Still tied with original string, this paper wrapped package is in excellent condition. This is a fantastic display item for the Ross collector or for any collector of military ammo. By the date this is probably some of the military proofing ammunition used at the time of the testing of the Ross M-10 by the Canadian military. It can be noted that there are no similar ammo packets shown in the "Ross Rifle Story". A scarce packet of military 303 dated in the period of testing the MKIII (M-10). See pages 54-56 of the above reference. A piece for the Ross or Canadian military collector.
