Description:

A fine antique Winchester ( one hundred and eleven years old) Take Down in very high clean original condition  Very collectable with the original factory 32 Winchester Special Smokeless sight ( pat 1901- one year earlier)  95% of these 32s with smokeless sight have had the sight replaced ( sold separately) as it is now a sought after collectable in itself and have become pricy.   Interestingly and as a surprise to most collectors - the 32 WS (Win Special) is verified in the Cody Museum publication entitled 'ARMAX' - Vol. # 5 of the 1995 edition - p.108 - as being the least frequently produced 1894 of record.  To wit: "1 in 2 was 30-30   1 in 4 was 38-55   1 in 5 was a carbine   1 in 9 was a 32-40  1 in 9 - was a 25-35  AND 1 in 11 was a 32 WS"   The wood is original and though unremarkable - fits well and has no damage. Take Down is tight and fresh showing little wear.  Bore is fine.  Action is crisp snappy and firm.  Nice classic Western form with Take Down feature octagon barrel full mag and crescent butt.  Damn nice straight rifle.     I offer a 3 day inspection and prefer phone calls to answer questions 813-8861235 (Tampa Fl)  I ship by USPS registered Priority insured only.  Economical and safe. Please look at my MANY MANY other collectable 94s 92s 86s 76s 95s and others including fine Marlin Western guns and many Colt collectable pistols revolvers and extra fine Lightning rifles.

BTW - we as a civilized intelligent society of rational hobbiests MUST stop this imbecilic idiotic stupid irrational archaic policy of defining an antique as something made before 1899.  Think about it. Here is the Wikipedia definition of 'antique' = "

An antique (Latin: antiquus; "old", "ancient") is an old collectable item. It is collected or desirable because of its age, beauty, rarity, condition, utility, personal emotional connection, and/or other unique features. It is an object that represents a previous era or time period in human society.

It is common practice to define "antique" as applying to objects at least 80-100 years old.

To clearly illustrate the illogical nature of this stupidity - imagine your self selling a collectable firearm in the year 4010  that was manufactured in the year 1900 -- THREE HUNDRED AND TEN YEARS OLD - and yet you cannot term it an antique because it was NOT made BEFORE 1899.  Laughable? - of course - but no more so than a hundred and thirteen year old relic today not termed an  'antique'.   Think about it for a moment and you will understand that the REAL antiques are the fossilized minds of people playing mind games.  DEMAND this irrational stupidity ENDED!
