Description:
Here ya go men! You are not going to get one of these because only 7 or 8 of these guns went to Nebraska to shoot the Republican herd. It's 45-70, well marked. Double set triggers, was shipped May 24th 1878 by Harris to Collins * Petty, Omaha Nebraska. Also note in this Sharps letter, Collins, under his name only, was a trader at Fort Laramie Wyoming. You could take this one out and shoot it. Gun is correct. Barrel number matches Tang including the stock that is on it now, is correct as was installed by Sharps.  This is a gun that did shoot buffalo in Nebraska. Just like Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and is the hardest one to get. Make your choice today, to own a real buffalo gun. Not just one, like a Meechum conversion with no letter, or one that went to New York and stayed there. Remember, owning a part of American History is closing down as many of these guns are not for sale and are kept and handed down. Very rarely do they come up. Note: Look at ad for Collins & Petty as well as the info on the Nebraska Hunt. Time payments available. Feel free to make me an offer.
