Description:
Here ya go. You want a U.S. Springfield in Custer carbine 50 caliber? Well here's your chance. 341 of these 50 caliber carbines were made for experimental use in the West. Custer got 32 of these, and they are not serialized. Mine is from the famous General Hoyt Vandenburg whose father was also General during World War 2 and named Vandenburg airstrip after him. The gun is correct in every way. Shows partial cartouche, good bore, tight action. Seen lots of use in the saddle. Well marked gun. Included is info from Vance Haynes and Frank Malerie that Custer did have a lot of these carbines in their battles.  Now is your time to clean up and own a REAL piece of INDIAN WAR fighting history. And I am positive there are blood stains on this one. Shipping is $75.00 for ground UPS. Time payments available. Feel free to make me an offer.
