Colt Thunderer SN 35408 was produced in 1882. There were over 166,000 of the Model 1877's made from 1877 until 1909. This one has a 4 1/2" barrel and is nickel plated with the desirable etched panel on the barrel. There is some nickel plating that has flaked at the front of the cylinder and forcing cone area. The nickel on the ejector and backstrap  are thinning but the barrel, cylinder, and frame still retain most of thier bright original finish. The etched panel is still very readable. The hard rubber grips are in good condition with no cracks or chips but the right grip is worn more smooth than the left.
