REDUCED - This is an experimental model with a total quantity made of 1001 in a given serial range. It is the first model to be made with a sliding combination ramrod & bayonet for trials by gov't troops and all were issued for test trials. This is correct throughout and is probably the nicest 1880 model we have ever had the opportunity to sell. One of the most difficult Trapdoor rifles to find for a collector as most saw heavy use and were converted or worn out in trials. I would put this rifle at overall Very Good to Excellent condition - a real gem.
