Description:
Colt 1877 "Thunderer" DA revolver - Cal. .41 - 4 1/2" Bbl. - SN 104XXX(1896)- all matching. Excellent bore - bright with sharp rifling and only a couple of spotted areas - perfect action in DA and SA. Metal is excellent overall with only light pitting near front of ejector housing - sharp markings and stamping. Barrel retains 85%-90% blue with some thining - cylinder 85% drifting to brown. Frame is mostly a dark gray patina but shows a few areas of darkened case color - backstrap has drifted to a gray patina. Grips are sound and undamaged showing only modest wear. A very nice and all original antique "Thunderer" that was a popular back-up revolver in the early West.
