Description:
This is a custom rifle built from the ground up by Jim Brockman (Brockman's Custom Guns). Starting with a Montana Rifle Company Magnum Action and a synthetic stock. Add a barrel band and Brockman Peep site with the protective wings to protect the sight. I believe the front sight has a tritium insert. Butter smooth and accurate with no feeding problems and a Winchester type safety. I am the second owner and this rifle is in very good condition. Not like new but very good condition with less than 100 rounds being fired. To replace this rifle with an new one would be about $4000.00 with a Remington, Winchester or CZ action. The Montana action would be more. It comes with the peep sights that came on the rifle and a barrel band on the front muzzle, which a really like. Later I purchased a Brockman's pop up peep to fit a scope to the rifle (old eyes). I purchased a pair of Talley rings as well the work with the pop up peep. Never installed, but they come with the rifle. The ammo must be shipped separately. My plans of Africa have gone the way of the economy. My loss is your gain. I don't think you could get a better dangerous game stopping rifle. Of course like all .458 Lott rifles the .458 Win Mag which is shorter can be fired as well. The LOP is 14". Barrel length is 22.5". Weight is 8.5 to 9 lb. estimated. Magazine holds three plus one in the chamber. Has a mercury recoil reducer and limb-saver recoil pad.
