Description:
30" O/U matted vent-rib barrels of Bohler Special steel with white bead choked extra full & extra full. 14 7/8"pull from articulated front trigger to thin black recoil pad. 1 1/2" - 1 7/8"drop. 3/8" cast-off. Highly figured walnut stock with slender three-piece Deeley-release forend, the captive sections of which each retained by four engraved horn-bushed screws, black capped pistol grip and with chinstrap and classic point-pattern checkering. Concealed-release, hand-detachable sidelock with intercepting sears, cocking indicators, double underbites and double Kersten locks, automatic ejectors and manual top tang safety, finished in French grey and finely game scene engraved with scenes of a hawk taking a pheasant to the left and a fox flushing grouse amongst the cornstalks on the right, all surrounded with scroll. Weight: 8lbs, 1oz. Built 1956, before the best craftsmen escaped the workers' paradise. 99% blue. Tight, and with excellent bores.
