A Remington 1888 transition barrel measuring about 5 3/4" long with a shortened front sight, but looks original. Barrel has about 30% nickle, remainder is brown patina, and the bore has visible rifling, but not sharp, and surface corrosion not pitted out!The barrel address while holding the barrel with the muzzle outward is read from the right side:E. Remington & Sons, Elion. N.Y. U.S.A. The barrel address as with all Remington revolvers is a light registration but is all there!A very rare barrel on the loose.The threads look good for fine threads!
