Confederate Alteration of a Model 1816 B. Evans, Phila. musket. From the renown Ben Michel collection pictured in the catalogue. In Mr. Michelís notes he says that this bolster alteration was done by the Union Manufacturing Co. of Richmond, VA. Inside of hammer has re-assembly number of 309 and 309 also appears inside lockplate. Comes with bayonet. See photos for additional info and commentary.
