ORNATE ENGLISH 18TH CENTURY LARGE HALBERD HEAD. 27” o/a with 14” spear point. Probably intended for Church use when the Church of England was the established religion in the American Colonies. Has three “Crosses” in the design motif. Fine quality and of heavy construction by a skilled sword and blade smith. Found in the Tidewater area of Virginia. Very nice old dark patina.
