 Springfield 45/70 trapdoor carbine; has a carbine rear sight; has an 1884 breach block; has other mixed parts, gun is mechanically excellent; stock is in tathered condition due to 60-70 years of being rented out by Stembridge Gun Rentals at Paramount Studios Hollywood California. This gun has paperwork which is 100% original. This gun S#528508 is one of fifty two Springfield Trapdoor Carbines that was rented for use in John Ford's production of She wore a yellow ribbon staring John Wayne. There is only 14 of 52 that are still accounted for since 1948. This is guaranteed 100% authentic. Stock is marked with "S" as seen in picture.
