Engraved locks and steel mounts. German silver escutcheons, ramrod thimble and oval thumb plate. Half length walnut stock with checkered wrist. Original brass tipped wood ramrod. Original flintlock (not a reconversion) and with the original locks and lock parts. Barrels professionally re-browned with most of the finish. Both bores dark with corrosion. Stock with the original finish showing normal wear for it’s vintage. Both locks cock but improperly needing sear repair. Ross was active from 1815 and is listed at 64 Pleasance St. until 1819 when he moved he moved to 9 South St. Andrew St. where he continued into the late 1830’s.
