Francotte back action sidelock 12 gauge hammer gun manufactured in 1933 with 28 1/2" M/F Siemens-Martin extractor barrels with 2 3/4" chambers nitro proved 12-70. Raised file cut top rib engraved with "Siemens-Martin Steel" Bores are excellent measuring .723 on the right and .724 on the left. Choked .016 on the right and .031 on the left. Sideclip action body with Greener crossbolt and sculpted percussion style fences. Dolphin style rebounding rabbit ear hammers with checkered thumb contact faces. Action body has 100% coverage of unique deep relief Acanthus leaf and scroll engraving including breech end of barrels with gun dog head on each sideplate. Splinter forend with Anson release. Pistol grip buttstock of European Walnut with full fiddleback figure. Grip cap and buttplate are both horn with engraved screws. LOP is 14 1/2" DAC-1 1/2" DAH-2 7/8" 6lb 9oz Forend and buttstock are both completely solid with minor dents and dings from hunting use. Checkering at 90%. Action body has gone silver. Barrel blue at 85% thinning in the carry areas on either side. All screws appear to be untouched. This gun has been used but not abused. It remains tight and on face. Barrels ring like a chime. This is a unique nitro steel rebounding hammer game gun by a renown maker in excellent mechanical condition. It is ready to use. Refined grace amd elegance.
