SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1884 trapdoor in very good condition with a good stock,can't read the cartouche, looks like the stock was refinished at one time, with a hand rubbed finish! Medal is blue,an armory finish possibly done before handing over to the state militias when they were de-commissioned. Good rifling in the bore,with some frosting in the grooves. And has 1884 rear sights, with the breech block dated 1884. Front band is a stacking swivel.And this is the rod bayonet model. Comes with a butt-plate hatch door for a cleaning rod.SN 507006. Some nicks, and dents from field use an in front of the trigger guard some lifting of the grain. Would make a good shooter. I hope you like my wide selection of unusual guns.
