Clayton Nelson .270 Mauser, Clayton Nelson full custom .270 Winchester built on the venerable FN commercial Mauser action with 3 position side swing safety, custom checkered bolt release, custom bolt handle with 3 panel teardrop checkering, and custom bottom metal with straddle floorplate and triggerbow release. Jaeger fully adjustable trigger. Finely jeweled bolt and extractor. 23" sightless barrel with excellent bore. Leupold Vari-X II 2x7 scope with duplex reticle in Conetrol rings and bases. Stocked in outstanding piece of Circassion Walnut with deeply contrasting dark marblecake lines in the American Classic style with shadow line cheekpiece and well executed Fleur-de-lis 28 LPI checkering pattern. Steel pistol grip cap, ebony forend tip, and two screw inletted sling swivel studs. 13 1/2" LOP to an Old English pad. 8lb 14oz with scope. This gun remains in fine overall condition with light handling marks. It has been hunted but carefully. Satin rust blue remains at 99%.
