This is a real deal 1860 Civil War carbine. All of these saw heavy use and were the most desirable weapons of the Civil War and early post war western post and this one looks like it was there. Basically a clean all gun metal gun with superb dark wood. Cartouche no longer visible. The trooper that owned this gun took superb care of this gun as the bore is about mint and shiny. It is standard in all respects in 52 caliber rimfire. The last date on the receiver is 1860 and barrel is not stamped 1865. (56-56)
