Here is a  very rare fine condition First Model 1873 rifle in 44-40 caliber.  It is a standard rifle with 24" round barrel.  First model thumb print dust cover with cut in rail.  Barrel and tube are a nice clean and smooth blue brown while receiver is basically the same with nice blue brown finish remaining at least 60% coverage.  Excellent stocks fit tight as glove and proud to metal having never ever been touched up. Excellent shiny bore.  Works like new. Most of the fire blue still on loading gate.  Far, far above average condition.
