Description:
This sword has a blade measuring 29 1/2" X 1" X 5/16" thick. The blade is etched "Volunteer/1st/Compy./Artillery" The ricasso is marked "Della Torra & Co./ Conduit St. ?London." A 3 Bar Iron Guard is of iron with wire wound leather. The steel scabbard has a frog stud and the number 46, at the throat with an engraved Broad Arrow. Very good condition with some grip leather missing and a few rough spots on the edge. A scarce artillery sword, only needs some TLC cleaning . Sword
