Oberndorf A/N Rifle in 7 x 57 Mauser - Type B Made in 1931, Intermediate action, The rifle has a 24" round barrel, 1 standing & 2 folding rear sights, Barrel band for the forward sling eye, Barrel cylinder ahead of the receiver ring is stamped "Foreign", Correct pear shaped bolt handle, Single trigger, Hinged floorplate with a center trigger guard bow release, The receiver ring and bridge were not drilled for a scope, Traditional half-stock style stock, Steel grip cap, Schnabel forend tip, Cheekpiece, Checkered grip, All matching serial numbers including the stock, 14 3/8" LOP over the Mauser banner hard buttplate, 7 lbs. 8 oz., The original blue remains at 85% with a very even and honest patina overall, The stock finish at 92%, The checkering at 95%. The bore is very good plus to near excellent. The trigger guard has an original engraved number (A1591) that most likely was the importers serial number plus it is marked Foreign on the barrel.
