Description:
A 9 1/2" long flask of brass and horn with no maker's name. The spout is called a 'knee action' type by Ray Rilings "Powder Flask" book. Adjustments are for 35-40-45 & 50 grains. The charge is measured and then cut off at the knee by folding the spout and latching. The measured charge is then poured into the barrel. 3 Brass suspension rings with one now missing. The piece has a 2" crack on the flat side but no missing horn. Unpolished brass, a scarce flask for the collector.
