Description:
This sword is marked "Horstmann's Phila" on ricasso with an "R" on reverse. The single fuller 28" blade has a yellow patina from dried oil with bright finish under. The brass grip and guard show several casting imperfections and several areas stained with dried grease. The scabbard shows minor cracking in leather with a tender area near drag mount. Brass scabbard mounts show scratches and some small dents. A fine example by this maker.
