Ruger Super Blackhawk revolver in .44 Magnum, # 1206, ca. 1970. 7 1/2" barrel and highly figured French walnut grips. Stunning full-coverage bold scroll engraving by Lynton McKenzie. An accompanying letter from Lynton documents his work on the gun in 1970-71 as well as an explanation as to why he would never engrave another. Lynton was one of the greatest engravers who ever lived and his work will attest to that with no need for commentary by me. Generations to come will marvel at his handiwork but his truest legacy will reside in the hearts of his friends.
