* * * SOLD ON HOLD PENDING FUNDS / German P.08 Luger Pistol, code: S/42 - dated 1936, manufactured by Mauser, serial # 2179 o all the visible numbers match including the firing pin, cal. 9 mm, 4" barrel with a good bore which shows very light pitting its full length but still with evident rifling, metal surfaces retain about 90-92% original blue the loss due to even fading with light muzzle and high edge wear, straw color is still excellent on the ejector and magazine release while it has faded from the contact points of the trigger, safety and takedown latch, checkered walnut grips rate about excellent with the right grip showing some flattening of the points and a moderate bruise in the center leading-edge, a single bright-body magazine with aluminum base is included and it is numbered 2827b, overall a very good plus example of the 1936-dated Luger. {C&R} Inv. # 1-1172
