* * * ON HOLD PENDING FUNDS / Colt Model 1862 Police Cartridge Conversion, serial # 8122, cal. 38 Rimfire, has a 4 1/2” round barrel with ejector rod and a good + bore, matching numbers on the grip straps, frame, barrel lug, and wedge, the loading gate has the conversion number 2555, I believe the cylinder arbor is a non factory replacement, the rebated cylinder retains over 90% of the scene with several small dings nothing alarming, frame has an excellent two line patent date and all factory markings are fine, hammer retains 50% case colors, the brass straps with 10% nickel, the remaining metal with 70% nickel, the walnut grips show light wear and retain 50% varnish, overall a nice Colt conversion in very good condition that’ll look great in any collection.
