Colt Official Police .38 spcl caliber revolver. Rare experimental prototype from the Colt archive collection. This gun has a frame mounted firing pin, rather than on the hammer. The grips frame and trigger guard area have been altered to a completely different shape. The wood grips is very unusual, kind of a cross between a target and service type. A very unique Colt, probably an attempt to update the official police design that never went into production. Comes with factory letter.
