Description:
For your consideration is a very finely made Carl Stiegele Guild 16-gauge over, 7x57mm under, combination, left handed, rifle/shotgun. The gun was produced in the 1930's and the barrel is stamped “Nitro” next to the proof mark. It has a very finely engraved receiver and trigger, double triggers, cocking indicators and both a cross bolt and under-lug lock-up. The barrels are very clean with no rust or pitting. The rifle barrel has sharp rifling. Overall this gun is approximately 95% with some bluing loss near the muzzle. The receiver is silvered/nickle with some patina. The action locks-up like a bank vault and is so well make you cannot see the receiver/barrel joint when the guns action is closed. The gun has factory sling swivels, a two-leaf rear express sight with a bead front sight. The stock has a cheek piece on the right-side of the stock for left handed shooting. This is a VERY finely made exhibit of the gun-makers art.
