One of the tougher to find Winchester model 1895's are these 26" Octagon barrel 40-72's. And this one is extremely nice. The barrel retains virtually all of the original high luster factory blue finish with an as new bore. The receiver retains at least 30-40% high luster blue with balance turning plum. Magazine and lever retains at least 85% of the high luster blue with rest turning plum. Wood is excellent with no cracks or chips of any kind but a few bruises. This gun is a fourth year production Antique so no paper work needed. This is both highly collectible as well as would be a superb shooter given the mint action and bore.
