Description:
Here's a 1892 made in late 1906 and Rec'd in the warehouse on Feb 7, 1907 and shipped out the next day according to the Cody letter. This fine rifle is chambered in the hard to find .32-20 and is a standard rifle sporting a 24" Octagon barrel with a 100% shiny bore, crescent butt and plain trigger. The barrel is equipped with a half brass front sight with screw and semi buckhorn rear sight. The barrel and magazine tube retain about 98% blue with only sharp edge wear and a couple of small scratches. The receiver retains 96-97% bright original blue with sharp edge wear. The top tang shows a half inch of flaking at the end as seen in the pics. The hammer and lever retain bright CC's in spots and even the crescent metal butt retains a fair amount of CC pattern which is amazing after 108 years. The wood is in great shape free of cracks and retains most of it's original finish. This would fit nicely in any Winchester collectors gun rack and is truely investor quality.
