Description:
This is a stamped metal, rectangular buckle with the S.S. eagle and wreathed swastika in the center surrounded by a circular border that reads, "Meine Ehre hei't Treue". The metal has some of the original gray painted finish remaining with dark plum-brown freckling around the edges and a single barely noticeable dent on the right edge. The reverse of the buckle has some minor brown surface freckling and light oxidation. The "RZM 155/43 SS" maker's marking is still legible on the reverse under the swivel (F.W. Assmann & S'hne). This is a very good original buckle and would make a great addition to a collection.
