Description:
WWII German Army Officer’s Dagger with Scabbard & Knot. This dagger was made by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen Germany. Dagger OAL = 14 ½”, Blade OAL = 10”. The logo is a seated squirrel holding a downward pointed sword and the Original Eickhorn Solingen script. The nickel/silver plate on the hilt and scabbard have a dark (un-touched) tarnish finish. There are two tiny dents on the front of the scabbard at the bottom. The blade is in good condition with some evidence of cleaning, has a bold Eickhorn logo, has some tarnish spots and light scabbard runner marks. The silver portepee shows light rub wear. The dark orange/yellow handle has 1 tiny nick (see photos) on the right front side but nothing drastic or alarming. The overall condition is good – very good. Inv.: # G 2685
