Here is a nice CMP M1 Garand Rifle from the rifle re-build program with receipt to the original owner. The receiver is Winchester 1 million 300 thousand range. The barrel is a 1961 dated Springfield. Beautiful stock has CMP stamp on left side. I have a .308 cartridge stuck in end to see where it goes into barrel as I have no gauges. Metal retains most of the military finish. Should make a fine shooter. Rear sight is not a lock bat style. Shoot as is or rebuild into an original WW11 Winchester
