Description:

Beautifully made pre Civil War half stock in about .40 caliber. Sports a browned 39" oct. barrel. No maker mark on barrel. Engraved lock is stamped Union Philadelphia (Philada). Has very crisp double set triggers. Bore has some frosting but rifling is really sharp . Nipple area very clean and I would think this rifle would make a fine shooter . Pewter forend cap. Looks like a replacement ramrod. Fine stock with hand rubbed generation of polishing and nice brass butt plate and fancy trigger guard. Browned barrel is very clean with smooth and clean original finish. fine early rifle.
