RARE U.S. NAVY MODEL 1895 LEE STRAIGHT PULL KNIFE BAYONET WITH TYPE 1 SCABBARD.12 ¾” o/a with 8 ¼” blade stamped in the left fuller “REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y.” Leather scabbard with blued steel mounts and Type 1 blued sheet steel belt hook Exceptional excellent plus condition with nearly all the blue on the mounts. Fine blade with crisp markings. Wood grip panels excellent plus. Scabbard leather extra nice and the hook with nearly all the original blue. For the Winchester Lee U.S. Navy Model 1895 Straight Pull Rifle largely used by the Marines. Interestingly Remington got the contract to make the bayonet’s. See Hardin’s “THE AMERICAN BAYONET1776-1964” pages 154-55, #131. Much harder to find than the rifle itself.
