COLT U.S. ALASKAN OR PHILIPPINE MODEL 1902 D.A. .45 L.C. CAL. REVOLVER. Made for the Philippine Constabulary and quite scarce with only 4600 produced and with a low survival rate. Essentially a Model 1878 Frontier (made in 1900). 6" barrel with barrel address. Extra large trigger and guard to allow use of two fingers to operate by the smaller handed Constabulary. All original example in very good condition. Original brown patina on metal and quite crisp markings including an “RAC” on left frame and trigger guard. Right side inspected “JTT” and date 1902 which is correct for the contract. Excellent original walnut grips but are replacements for often cracked hard rubber grip panels. Excellent working order and very fine bore and chambers.
