Description:
You are on a custom 425WR built in 2000, by W.D. Ballenger of Lakeland, Florida. Don was a premier Mauser gunsmith The action is a 1934 Oberndorf action also known as a standard model with the Mauser logo on the front ring. The action was a full custom from the open rails to thee bolt face, it has a Timney trigger and custom bolt handle. The barrel is Krupp made in Germany and is proper for the 425 WR caliber. Starting at the receiver the barrel contour is 25"long starting with FN step down 1.248 for 2" then .980 to the muzzle at.755. with NCEG front sight ramp complete and custom ramp built to house a 3 leaf and one standing rear sight that needs to be cut in by owner to his or her eye. The barreled action comes in at 7.1 lbs. you need the weight for the caliber.
This is a German build action for China, not one of the Chinese build actions.
