Description:
Pending Sale** Gerald...Here is a pair of Hamilton model 27 boys rifles,The older one (blued) is marked "Hamilton Rifle Co" and was made starting in 1906 and I have fired this one,The lighter one that looks stainless is a later model marked "CJ Hamilton & Son" I believe someone took the blued finish off and it looks great, part of rear sight missing (I have not fired this one as Hamiltons site says none of them should be unless in very good condition and using BB or CB caps only,   I used a new .22 long rifle and the darker rifle fired fine. These barrels are brass lined and have quite a story behind them if you take a minute to read on them. They both have great bores with stong riflings and shiny. Most were given away as incentive to purchase grain or farm windmills made by Hamilton Co.back in the early 1900's these are very nice pieces and I hate to break them up.The darker one has a small crack in the forend as I think 99% do as so they say,The shiny one has beautiful wood Both have original metal butt plates and the remainder of the wood is excellent condition,A piece of Americana here,C&R OK
