#3862 Starr Arms Model 1863 Army S/A revolver, 30XXX, 44caliber percussion with VG+ bore (7-8) and strong tight action; fine grips and very good markings. It looks to have probably been laying for a long time on a continued damp surface, because there is a patch of pitting in a line on the cylinder (see photos) and some freckling elsewhere. It then also looks to have been chemically cleaned (such as Naval Jelly or some-such), as it is semi-bright metal but does not appear to have been buffed. These big single action Starrs and a very impressive handgun and were one of the more favored Union revolvers in the Civil War. VG as described. Was $1650...now $1550
