Here is something we have waited for now for 40 years, a high capacity magazine for the ultra tough, ultra reliable Ruger 10/22 series rifles that is made by Ruger. We tried the Ciener brand steel conversions in the 1980s, and they were spasmodic at best. We tried the Butler Creek plastic magazines, and would tell buyers not to leave them loaded for long. Then we tried the Eagle brand, and had to tell customers not to load them at all. Finally, here is a factory Ruger High Capacity Magazine that we believe will work. Manufacturer is Sturm, Ruger & Company, Newport, NH plant & so marked. Construction is thick, high impact polymer that is held together by stainless set screws. The lip area and its rotor anchors are metal. Just picking it up tells us that here is a substantially constructed magazine; weight empty tips our scales at 6.2 ounces. Its Stainless steel feed lips, writes the factory, are designed to present cartridges into the action at a 30 degree angle for better feed reliability. The stainless mainspring, they further state, is a constant-force apparatus that provides superior feed consistency. Further, the factory states, the Anti-tilt follower is injection molded from a high lubricity polyacetal for consistent reliability. Our Single Mag, onesy twosy price is $33 per.
