PARKER-SNOW U.S. MODEL 1863 MILLER CONV. .58 RF CAL. MILITARY RIFLE CA. 1866-67. Original 39” barrel, 3 band rifle musket conversion usually see as a further altered 2 band 33” barreled rifle for sale by Bannerman’s and others as a drill rifle. Hard to find in nice condition with the 39” barrel. Has all the black oil quench case hardening on the conversion assembly. Barrel and mounts with grey crisp patina. Excellent markings including the Miller’s patent stamping and as well as “Meriden Man’fg. Co./Meriden, Conn.”. Excellent walnut stock free of the usual cracks near the breech block which are almost always seen on these. Working order and has a mint bore.
