Description:
Rigby 470 nitro express ejector double rifle. This rifle was made between the wars during the period which is considered the golden years of double rifle manufacturing. 28" chopper lump barrels with excellent bores, third fastener. Proofed for 75 grains of Cordite and a 500 grain bullet. Sharp rifling from end to end. One standing two folding rear sight and a hooded front sight. Ejectors are in time. Receiver and trigger guard are border engraved. Automatic safety. Trigger guard tang extends to grip cap. Straight grained walnut stock with drop points, 14-1/2" length of pull with 1" leather covered pad. Sling swivel studs and oval inlay in butt stock. Weight is 10 pounds 15 oz. Oak and leather case. Case has beautiful patina on the outside with brass corners. This is your chance to acquire a very highly sought after unmolested double rifle from the golden era.
